In this unit you will learn that: 

• Osmosis is the movement of a liquid from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration until it reaches equilibrium.

By the end of this unit you will be able to:

• Define and use the trigonometric ratios of cosθ, sinθ and tanθ.
• Calculate the trigonometric ratios in each quadrant of the Cartesian plane.
• Calculate the value of expressions containing trigonometric ratios.

Outcomes

By the end of this course you will be able to:

• Define and use the trigonometric ratios of  cosθ,  sinθ, and  tanθ.
• Calculate the value of expressions containing trigonometric ratios with a calculator.
• Calculate the value of expressions containing trigonometric ratios without a calculator.
• Work with trigonometric tables.
• Solve problems in 2 dimensions involving angles of elevation and depression

Outcomes

By the end of this course you will:

• Know what the 12 hour and 24 hour clocks are respectively
• Be able to convert times from the 12 to 24 hour clock and vice versa
• Be familiar with the units of time
• Learn how to convert one unit of time to another
